A DC area native, I originally moved to Boulder to attend CU where I studied Environmental Design. Falling in love with the Rockies, I knew this would be my home and have been here for a decade. After exploring several career paths in the design industry, I made the move to Steamboat, looking for something more. Taking a summer job gardening was a natural choice, to spend time outside and build on some previous experience working at a flower shop. After one summer, I knew this was the industry for me.

Gardening takes a special approach - working with living materials is a challenge, especially in our environment. I believe in creating gardens that enhance their surroundings and that plants play an important role in the overall feel of a home.

Through maintaining gardens in the field, I have been able to learn our valley’s specific microclimates and the importance of the right plant for the right place. I apply my background in architecture and design to create gardens that incorporate texture and color for summer long beauty.

Always looking for opportunities to build on my knowledge, I have completed my Permaculture Design Certificate from OSU, Certified Gardener through CSU’s online Master Gardener Program and completed my Sustainable Landscape Management Certification.
